In 2011 FriendlyWebStarter adapted an existing website for performer and vocal coach Rebecca Schwarz, and we later filmed one of her concerts in High Definition… and in 2014 we gave the site a new look and transformed its navigation, creating a new style built around her stage presence and her new role coordinating choirs around Birmingham.
The new-look site can be seen here at this link, and takes a distinctive dark style based upon her promotional pictures taken at the Electric Cinema and in other performance venues.
During the 2011 changes, we embedded videos of the client into the website from Vimeo and YouTube, and added new content, Search Engine Optimisation coding and information, new links and menus, as well as mending some broken links and more. By sitting with Ian while these were being done, the client was simultaneously given the training needed to manage the site herself at no further expense in future.
The concert was filmed at Bromsgrove’s Artrix Arts Centre in 2012, where a full house saw Rebecca perform a variety of distinctive songs and monologues. Ian was able to record audio directly from the studio’s mixing desk, and immediately hand over the video and audio to Rebecca after the gig on the memory card she had purchased for the occasion. Even though there was only a single camera used, with the benefit of cutaways and smooth pans and zooms of the camera lens even this can be used to produce full professional quality videos from the concert.
The site can be seen here: www.rebeccaschwarz.co.uk. The videos will be provided here if they are later added to the web.
